Helsinki to Kuopio
Kuopio is easy to reach by air (3 daily flights from Helsinki, ~1 h), by train (5 daily connections from Helsinki, 4–4.5 h), or by long-distance bus (several options daily, 4.5–5.5 h, including economy services such as FlixBus and Onnibus).
Car drive is beautiful and ~4 h (excluding stops). Helsinki airport offers standard car rental options.
To conference hotel in Kuopio
From Kuopio airport: Regular taxi (~50 €, takes 20 min) or public bus #42 (2.85 €, takes ~40 min. Check Googlemaps for schedules!)
From railway station: 0.6 km walk to city center. 1.6 km walk to conference hotel (bus #1 from city center, 2.85 €).
By car: 20 min drive from Kuopio airport (car rentals) or 4 hours from Helsinki-Vantaa.

Visa information
If you require an invitation letter to attend the event, please check the box “Do you need documentation for travel permits (e.g. visa purposes)” in the registration form. We will contact you with the necessary documents after receiving your registration.
